Square D
Everything we buy from Square DWhat we pay for and why
Value on panelboards comes down to the brand and series, the ratings on the nameplate, what is still installed inside, and condition. New surplus is worth the most. Failed units are worth their parts and metal.

What drives the number
On most used panelboards the breakers inside are worth more than the can and interior. Photograph the breaker labels.
Panels with covers, trims, and interiors intact sell as panels. Stripped cans are metal value.
Main breaker panels with the main still installed carry more value than main lug only interiors.
One used panel rarely covers its freight. Five on a pallet, or a panel added to a bigger load, does.
Reading the nameplate
The panelboard label sits inside the door or on the dead-front trim. It lists the series, voltage, ampacity, and short-circuit rating. Shoot it plus a photo of the interior with the breakers.
Freight and rigging
Panels palletize. A lighting panel runs from tens of pounds to a couple hundred; power panels more. Liftgate trucks cover most loads.

FAQ
Yes. Failed units are worth their parts, breakers, copper, and steel. Tell us what failed if you know.
Send the other photos and whatever you know. Illegible nameplates route to a slower queue, but the lead still gets a call.
We do. Liftgate truck, flatbed, or crane, depending on the size. Tell us if the unit is truck accessible.
Yes, in lots. Empty interiors and cans are worth less, so we price them by the pallet.
For metal recovery only. We never resell them into service.
Selling the breakers separately? Each family has its own page.
Selling more than one kind of gear? Put it on one offer. Mixed loads ship together and the freight math gets better for both of us.
