Form 5 controls were built in swing-panel and fixed-panel cabinets, and Eaton keeps separate manuals for each. The Form 5 can run reclosers with older Type A CTs, but Eaton notes event recording and monitoring lose accuracy above 5,000 A on those units. Serial number 2999 and below use a different communications accessory manual than later units, which matters when buying spare boards.
Three photos price most Cooper Kyle Form 5 recloser control offers.
The label
The catalog number, straight on and in focus. For a pallet, one label per model plus a count.
The unit
Front, sides, and anything damaged. Doors open if it has them.
The lot
The whole pallet or shelf. New in box: the box labels.
The nameplate is on the recloser head or tank. Photograph it with the type, voltage, continuous current, and interrupting rating in frame. Photograph the control nameplate and the control face separately.
- 01Send the nameplate

- 02We read it and reply
During business hours, by whatever contact method you picked.
- 03You get a written offer
Per unit or per lot. A range if we need to sample or test, firm after. Freight is in the number.
- 04We pick up and pay
Our truck and our rigging. Wire or ACH within 3 business days of a passed inspection.
Freight: Single-phase hydraulic reclosers are light enough for a liftgate truck. Three-phase units and their frames need a forklift or crane. We plan it.
Selling a Cooper Kyle Form 5 recloser control: what people ask.
Yes. We buy them in lots or one at a time.
Yes. Send the nameplate photo.
No. We buy controls on their own.
Both. New surplus, used, untested, and failed all sell. Condition sets the number, not whether we buy.
Oil-filled units built before 1980 may contain PCBs. We sample before an offer is final and handle the paperwork. We do not give disposal guidance on the web.
