Small. Thin margin. Only worth buying in lots.

What we pay for and why

Value on a mini power center comes down to kVA, primary voltage, winding metal, age, and whether it still tests. New surplus on the skid is worth the most. Failed units are worth their metal and oil.

What drives the number on this unit

Lots only

A single mini power center rarely covers its own freight. Five or more on a pallet becomes a purchase.

Brand and breaker complement

Square D and Eaton units with full breaker complements carry the value. Empty enclosures are scrap weight.

New surplus

Contractors over-order these constantly. New-in-box units are the exception to the lot rule; send those individually.

Reading the nameplate

Nameplate is on the front cover. For a lot, one nameplate photo per model plus a count and a group shot of the pallet does it.

Freight and rigging

Each unit is 100 to 400 pounds. Palletized, banded, liftgate truck. Combine them with anything else you are selling and the freight math improves for both of us.

FAQ

Yes. The core, windings, tank steel, and oil all carry value. Tell us the failure mode if you know it.
