The catalog number is on the transformer nameplate inside the enclosure. Photograph the nameplate, the open interior with the main breakers visible, and the outside of the enclosure so we can judge rust and door condition.

How to read a Square D Mini Power-Zone mini power center catalog number.
MPZ is the Mini Power-Zone with a plug-on QO branch interior. MPZB is the bolt-on branch version. Next is the kVA, then S for single-phase or T for three-phase, then a voltage code: 40 is 480 V to 120/240 single-phase and 2 is 480 V to 208Y/120 three-phase on these units. The F that follows is the class 180, 115 C rise insulation code. A trailing 25K marks a 25 kA interrupting rating.
Not sure? Type it into the catalog lookup or text a photo of the label.
- Complete units with both main breakers and the interior intact are worth more than stripped shells.
- Branch breakers left in the interior add value. QO plug-on breakers are common and easy to resell.
- Bolt-on MPZB units and 25 kA versions are less common than the standard MPZ.
- Outdoor units with rusted enclosures still sell for the transformer and breakers.
- We do not publish prices. Metal, demand, and condition move them. You get a written number for your unit.
The Mini Power-Zone is a whole package, so a unit missing its FAL primary main or QO secondary main is quoted as parts. The voltage code on these does not match the general purpose line: a three-phase 480 to 208Y/120 Mini Power-Zone uses 2 where an EE or EXN uses 3. Do not cross-reference the two by code alone. Units pulled from parking lot lighting or temporary power often come back with weathered doors but sound transformers.

The label
The catalog number, straight on and in focus. For a pallet, one label per model plus a count.
The unit
Front, sides, and anything damaged. Doors open if it has them.
The lot
The whole pallet or shelf. New in box: the box labels.
Nameplate is on the front cover. For a lot, one nameplate photo per model plus a count and a group shot of the pallet does it.

Selling a Square D Mini Power-Zone mini power center: what people ask.
Yes. We buy them with or without branch breakers. Tell us what is in the interior and send a photo with the cover off.
MPZB is the bolt-on branch version. MPZ units take plug-on QO branch breakers. Both use the same transformer section.
Yes. We still buy the enclosure, interior and breakers, and the transformer goes for core and coil value.
Both. New surplus, used, untested, and failed all sell. Condition sets the number, not whether we buy.
