What drives the number
  • MEA automatic transfer lineups with working controls are worth more than manual ME sections.
  • 1200 A and 38 kV ratings bring more than 600 A, 15 kV gear.
  • Complete fuse mountings with fuses add value.
  • Missing switch handles, interlocks or fuse mountings reduce value.
  • We do not publish prices. Metal, demand, and condition move them. You get a written number for your unit.
From the yard

Federal Pacific builds this gear in Bristol, Virginia, as a division of Electro-Mechanical Corporation, and uses the same Auto-jet switch family across its pad-mounted and metal-enclosed lines. Type ME is the manual version and Type MEA is the automatic version. Federal Pacific's product pages also list Powercon heavy-duty switchgear with Torque-Lok load-break switches alongside its own lines.

Photos we need

Three photos price most Federal Pacific Auto-jet metal-enclosed switchgear offers.

01

The nameplate

Straight on and readable. Voltage, ratings, model, and serial in frame.

02

Inside

Doors open: bus, devices, controls, and anything burned or missing.

03

The whole unit

A wide shot plus what is around it, so we can plan the pick.

Each section carries a nameplate, usually inside the front door or on the instrument panel. Photograph the lineup nameplate, one breaker nameplate per type, and a wide shot of the whole lineup with doors closed.
