- Complete lineups with GMSG breakers are worth much more than empty structures.
- 63 kA and 3000 A or 4000 A fan-cooled ratings are the most sought.
- Outdoor Shelter-Clad lineups in sound condition sell well to industrial buyers.
- Older GM lineups with GMI breakers have value but trade lower than GM-SG.
- We do not publish prices. Metal, demand, and condition move them. You get a written number for your unit.
Siemens announced GM-SG on October 2, 2006 as a redesign of its GM switchgear around the 3AH3 operator, built at its Queretaro, Mexico factory. The interlocks let a higher-rated breaker go into a lower-rated cell but not the reverse, and Siemens offers a universal spare breaker by rating. Older type GM gear from the late 1980s uses GMI breakers, and Siemens still offers GMI breakers and match-in-line extensions. Siemens' 38 kV metal-clad family is type GM38.

The nameplate
Straight on and readable. Voltage, ratings, model, and serial in frame.
Inside
Doors open: bus, devices, controls, and anything burned or missing.
The whole unit
A wide shot plus what is around it, so we can plan the pick.
Each section carries a nameplate, usually inside the front door or on the instrument panel. Photograph the lineup nameplate, one breaker nameplate per type, and a wide shot of the whole lineup with doors closed.

Selling a Siemens GM-SG metal-clad switchgear: what people ask.
Yes. We buy GM lineups with GMI breakers as well as GM-SG and GM38 gear.
Yes. We buy breakers with or without the lineup, but complete lineups bring the best offers.
Yes. We buy SGM-SG Shelter-Clad and OGM-SG outdoor lineups and arrange rigging and freight.
Both. New surplus, used, untested, and failed all sell. Condition sets the number, not whether we buy.
