- Lineups that still have all their breakers are worth far more than empty cells.
- 15 kV, 63 kA and 3000 A or 4000 A ratings are the most sought.
- Arc-resistant versions and lineups with modern microprocessor relays bring more.
- Water damage, missing racking parts and cut control wiring lower value.
- We do not publish prices. Metal, demand, and condition move them. You get a written number for your unit.
VacClad-W is the structure; the VCP-W, VCP-WC and VCP-WG breakers ride in it, and the 4000 A breaker rating at 5 and 15 kV requires forced air cooling. The 27 kV 2500 A and 2700 A bus ratings exist only in two-high configurations. Eaton bought Westinghouse's Distribution and Control Business Unit on January 31, 1994, so older lineups carry Westinghouse or Cutler-Hammer labels. Keep the breakers with their lineup when selling: matched sets with the original drawings bring the best offers.

The nameplate
Straight on and readable. Voltage, ratings, model, and serial in frame.
Inside
Doors open: bus, devices, controls, and anything burned or missing.
The whole unit
A wide shot plus what is around it, so we can plan the pick.
Each section carries a nameplate, usually inside the front door or on the instrument panel. Photograph the lineup nameplate, one breaker nameplate per type, and a wide shot of the whole lineup with doors closed.

Photos or a list with counts. Text, email, or the form.
- 02We read it and reply
During business hours, by whatever contact method you picked.

- 04We pick up and pay
Our truck and our rigging. Wire or ACH within 3 business days of a passed inspection.
Freight: Sections typically ship split, one or two vertical sections per pick. Each section can run from 1,500 to over 5,000 pounds with the breakers out. Breakers ride separately on pallets. We bring the rigging plan; you tell us about door widths and floor access.
Selling a Eaton VacClad-W metal-clad switchgear: what people ask.
Yes. We buy empty lineups, partial lineups and complete lineups. Complete lineups with VCP-W breakers bring the highest offers.
Eaton acquired Westinghouse's distribution and control business in 1994, so older gear carries Westinghouse or Cutler-Hammer names. Send the nameplate and we will confirm.
Yes. We handle decommissioning and removal of metal-clad lineups nationwide. Tell us about access, section count and timeline.
Both. New surplus, used, untested, and failed all sell. Condition sets the number, not whether we buy.
