- Electrically operated breakers with working charging motors are worth more than manually operated ones.
- Fused DSL and DSLII breakers serve high-fault sites and draw buyers.
- Breakers with upgraded trip units add value.
- We do not publish prices. Metal, demand, and condition move them. You get a written number for your unit.
DS and DSII gear is still in service in many plants, and the cubicles are often kept and retrofitted: Siemens, for example, sells pre-engineered WL-based replacement breakers for DS-206, DS-416, DS-420 and DS-632 cells. That retrofit demand keeps used DS and DSII breakers and cells moving. The Westinghouse name moved to Cutler-Hammer after Eaton bought Westinghouse's distribution and control business in 1994, so later DSII gear carries Cutler-Hammer labels.

The nameplate
Straight on and readable. Voltage, ratings, model, and serial in frame.
Inside
Doors open: bus, devices, controls, and anything burned or missing.
The whole unit
A wide shot plus what is around it, so we can plan the pick.
The lineup nameplate is usually on the front of the main section. Each breaker has its own nameplate on the front escutcheon. One breaker plate per frame size plus the lineup plate is enough to price it.
