The model name is printed on the panel face (for example MJ-3A, MJ-XL or MJ-4A). Photograph the front, the rear connector, and any serial label on the back of the panel.

- MJ-4A and MJ-XL panels are newer 32-bit designs; MJ-2 and MJ-3 series panels are older.
- Panels with their cabinet and PDS connector are worth more than a loose panel.
- Working, untested and failed panels are all bought.
- We do not publish prices. Metal, demand, and condition move them. You get a written number for your unit.
The Siemens comparison sheet lists the MJ-3A as an 8-bit control without reverse power settings, while the MJ-XL is 32-bit with independent reverse settings, harmonics, and event logging. The MJ-XL and MJ-4A were designed to fit Cooper and GE regulator cabinets with retrofit cables, so these panels show up on non-Siemens regulators. Siemens Energy now lists MJ4 and MJ6 panels for the JFR. The PDS lets a crew pull a panel from an energized regulator in minutes.

The nameplate
Straight on and readable. Voltage, ratings, model, and serial in frame.
Inside
Doors open: bus, devices, controls, and anything burned or missing.
The whole unit
A wide shot plus what is around it, so we can plan the pick.
The nameplate is on the tank wall. Photograph it straight on with the voltage, kVA, load current, and serial in frame, then photograph the control nameplate and display.
- 01Send the nameplate
Photos or a list with counts. Text, email, or the form.
- 02We read it and reply
During business hours, by whatever contact method you picked.

Freight: Single-phase regulators commonly run from roughly 1,000 to over 4,000 pounds depending on rating. They ride flatbeds and lift from the lifting lugs. We plan it.
Selling a Siemens MJ series regulator control panel: what people ask.
Yes. We buy MJ series panels on their own or still mounted in the cabinet.
Yes. We buy the regulator and the panel together or separately.
A photo of the panel face, a count by model, and the pickup location.
Both. New surplus, used, untested, and failed all sell. Condition sets the number, not whether we buy.
Oil-filled units built before 1980 may contain PCBs. We sample before an offer is final and handle the paperwork. We do not give disposal guidance on the web.
