What it is

Photograph the lineup nameplate and the unit label, plus the starter nameplate inside the bucket. Without a nameplate, the lever handle, 13-3/4 in. bucket width and 15-5/8 in. door width identify a 5 Star, Series 2100, Advantage or F2100 unit, and the starter type separates them.

What drives the number
  • Units are mechanically interchangeable with Eaton Freedom 2100 structures, so clean buckets still have buyers.
  • Advantage units carry Advantage starters rather than A200 starters; list them as Advantage, not Series 2100.
  • Complete buckets with door and handle mechanism bring more than loose starters.
  • Burned stabs or missing handles reduce value.
  • We do not publish prices. Metal, demand, and condition move them. You get a written number for your unit.
From the yard

Eaton states the 5 Star MCC was introduced by Westinghouse in 1975 and was the basis for the Series 2100 and Advantage designs. Westinghouse built these lines until 1994, when Cutler-Hammer took over production. Series 2100 and 5 Star units originally carried A200 starters. The Series 2100 handle mechanism carried forward onto Advantage and Freedom 2100 units.

Photos we need

Three photos price most Westinghouse Series 2100 and 5 Star motor control center offers.

01

The nameplate

Straight on and readable. Voltage, ratings, model, and serial in frame.

02

Inside

Doors open: bus, devices, controls, and anything burned or missing.

03

The whole unit

A wide shot plus what is around it, so we can plan the pick.

Each vertical section has a nameplate, usually at the top of the section or inside the top door. Each bucket has its own label. One section plate plus a sample of bucket labels gets you a number.
