GE places the master nameplate on the lineup with service, voltage, frequency and factory order number, and a unit nameplate on the right side of each unit. Photograph both, plus the starter and breaker labels.

- 8000-Line is no longer built, so clean units are useful to sites keeping existing lineups running.
- Complete draw-out units with door and handle mechanism bring more than loose starters.
- Spectra breaker units carry more value than older units with obsolete breakers.
- We do not publish prices. Metal, demand, and condition move them. You get a written number for your unit.
GE covers the Spectra Series and 8000-Line in one installation manual (GEH-4961), and the structures share dimensions. GE's E9000 literature states new E9000 sections splice to existing 7700 Line, 8000 Line and Spectra MCCs at 1200 A and below without a transition section. Thermal overloads in these units use CR123 heaters sized from the motor nameplate.

The nameplate
Straight on and readable. Voltage, ratings, model, and serial in frame.
Inside
Doors open: bus, devices, controls, and anything burned or missing.
The whole unit
A wide shot plus what is around it, so we can plan the pick.
Each vertical section has a nameplate, usually at the top of the section or inside the top door. Each bucket has its own label. One section plate plus a sample of bucket labels gets you a number.

Selling a GE 8000-Line and Spectra Series motor control center: what people ask.
Yes. We buy 8000-Line and Spectra units, sections and full lineups in any condition.
The master nameplate on the lineup, the unit nameplate on the right side of each unit, and a photo of the starter.
Yes. Older units are valued on their structure, components and metal.
Both. New surplus, used, untested, and failed all sell. Condition sets the number, not whether we buy.
