- Model 6 units are worth more than Model 5 or Model 4 units because they fit current production structures.
- Complete units with door, starter, overload and disconnect bring more than stripped buckets.
- Copper horizontal bus and higher bus ratings add value to full sections.
- Units with drives, soft starts or Size 4 to 6 starters carry more component value.
- We do not publish prices. Metal, demand, and condition move them. You get a written number for your unit.
Schneider states that a Model 6 MCC splices directly to a Model 5 built after May 1992. Older Model 5 lineups need custom splice plates. A Model 4 lineup joins a Model 6 through a transition section that adds a 12 in. extension to the first Model 6 section, the Model 4 neutral is not carried through, and Schneider asks for the original Model 4 factory order number. The standard package uses tin-plated aluminum horizontal bus and the industrial package uses tin-plated copper, so check bus material before quoting a section.

The nameplate
Straight on and readable. Voltage, ratings, model, and serial in frame.
Inside
Doors open: bus, devices, controls, and anything burned or missing.
The whole unit
A wide shot plus what is around it, so we can plan the pick.
Each vertical section has a nameplate, usually at the top of the section or inside the top door. Each bucket has its own label. One section plate plus a sample of bucket labels gets you a number.

Selling a Square D Model 6 motor control center: what people ask.
Yes. We buy Model 6, Model 5 and Model 4 units and sections. Send a photo of the unit label and the starter nameplate.
The MCC nameplate on the lineup names the model. If it is missing, send photos of the unit door, handle and stabs and we will help identify it.
Yes. We buy complete lineups, loose sections and individual units in any condition.
Both. New surplus, used, untested, and failed all sell. Condition sets the number, not whether we buy.
