What drives the number
  • Complete lineups with matching Power/Vac breakers bring the highest offers.
  • 15 kV, 3000 A and higher-interrupting lineups are the most sought.
  • Lineups with on-board racking or modern relays carry more value.
  • Missing breakers or cut wiring harnesses reduce value.
  • We do not publish prices. Metal, demand, and condition move them. You get a written number for your unit.
From the yard

Powell Industries bought GE's medium-voltage ANSI switchgear product line in August 2006 and now builds all Power/Vac switchgear and breakers at its Houston factory, under a supply alliance with GE's sales channel. That means a Power/Vac lineup can carry a GE or Powell label depending on its build date. Powell now offers on-board racking on all Power/Vac breakers.

Photos we need

Three photos price most GE Power/Vac metal-clad switchgear offers.

Inside

Doors open: bus, devices, controls, and anything burned or missing.

The whole unit

A wide shot plus what is around it, so we can plan the pick.

Each section carries a nameplate, usually inside the front door or on the instrument panel. Photograph the lineup nameplate, one breaker nameplate per type, and a wide shot of the whole lineup with doors closed.
