- Complete units with door and divider pan bring more than loose starters.
- Drive and soft starter units carry more component value than Size 1 starters.
- We do not publish prices. Metal, demand, and condition move them. You get a written number for your unit.
Siemens aftermarket literature lists the tiastar from 2002 and earlier designs including System 89 (1979 to 2001, an upgrade of the Furnas Class 89 from 1965), Model 90 (1986 to 1997), Model 95 (1995 to 1997, built in Raleigh, North Carolina), Model 95+ (1996 to 2001), Marq21 (1975 to 1996) and the 5600 (1971 to 1992). Most of these use 12 in. tall units in 6 in. increments, but Siemens sells retrofit buckets specific to each design, so the model name matters. The tiastar was presented as combining features of System 89 and Model 95+.

The nameplate
Straight on and readable. Voltage, ratings, model, and serial in frame.
Inside
Doors open: bus, devices, controls, and anything burned or missing.
The whole unit
A wide shot plus what is around it, so we can plan the pick.
Each vertical section has a nameplate, usually at the top of the section or inside the top door. Each bucket has its own label. One section plate plus a sample of bucket labels gets you a number.
