AM (air magnetic), then nominal kV, then MVA class, then a design suffix.
- Spares for running lineups are the main market.
- Complete units with intact arc chutes, contacts, and operating mechanism carry the most.
- We do not publish prices. Metal, demand, and condition move them. You get a written number for your units.
The letters and numbers after the MVA class, like -7H, identify the design version, and buyers match on it. That suffix is the first thing they ask for, so make sure it is readable in the nameplate photo.
Three photos price a medium voltage breaker.
The nameplate
Type, kV, continuous amps, interrupting rating, and control voltage. Straight on and readable.
The front and mechanism
The breaker front, the operation counter, and the charging motor or handle.
In the lineup
The breaker in its cubicle or on the floor, plus the switchgear nameplate if the gear is coming out too.
- 01Send the nameplates
Type, kV, continuous amps, interrupting rating, control voltage. Plus a photo of the lineup if the gear is coming out.
- 02We read them and reply
During business hours, by text, call, or email.
- 03You get a written offer
Per breaker or for the lineup, with the removal plan included. Subject to inspection.
- 04We rack out, rig, and haul
Our crew and equipment, after your people de-energize and lock out. Wire or ACH within 3 business days of a passed inspection.
Selling GE Magne-Blast air breakers: what people ask.
Yes. A lot of GE switchgear from that era is still energized, and the people running it need spares.
Yes. Mechanisms, contacts, and arc chutes all have value even when the breaker will not go back into service.
Yes. Breakers usually sell better with the lineup they came from, and we can take the whole thing out.
We do. Medium voltage breakers are heavy and the mechanisms are not forgiving; our crew brings the lift truck and rigging. You de-energize and lock out.
